Amy Garratt – BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation

Amy Garratt is a BSc-qualified sports rehabilitator with over 15 years of experience in musculoskeletal assessment, injury rehabilitation and sport-specific recovery. She founded AG Injury Rehabilitation to provide a specialist, patient-centred alternative to generic physiotherapy — giving every patient the time, attention and expertise their injury demands.

Amy works with a broad range of patients, from elite and competitive athletes to recreational gym-goers and individuals managing long-term musculoskeletal conditions. Her approach is built on thorough clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment and clear communication — ensuring every patient understands their diagnosis and their route back to full function.

Clinical Approach

Amy’s practice is grounded in a thorough understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics and exercise physiology. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, she identifies the underlying structural and functional drivers of injury — using this to build rehabilitation programmes that restore lasting function rather than masking pain.

Treatment integrates manual therapy, progressive therapeutic exercise and patient education. Amy views every rehabilitation programme as a collaborative process, keeping patients informed and engaged throughout their recovery.

On a Personal Level

I did not get into this to just treat injuries. I got into this because I know what it feels like to be stopped by one.

I have had my own setbacks. ACL & Achilles euptures. Long periods where I could not train, could not play, and did not feel like myself.

That is what drives how I work now. Most people who come to me are not just in pain.

They are frustrate, lack clarity & fed up with going round in circles.
They have rested. Tried exercises found online, Maybe even seen someone before.

But they still do not have a clear plan.
That is the problem.
From day one, my focus is simple.
Give you clarity. Give you a plan. Show you progress.
I take the time to properly assess how your body is moving.
We use objective testing so you can see the difference, not just feel it. And everything we do has a reason behind it.
No guesswork.

My goal is not just to get you pain free.
It is to get you back to doing what you enjoy, with confidence.
Gym. Running. Golf. Football. Playing with your children/grandchildren. Whatever matters to you personally.
And more importantly, to keep you there.
Because being active is not just something you do.

It is part of who you are.
My vision is simple.
To help people stay active for life.
To stop people settling for “Just manage it” or “it might always be like this.”
To give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence so you are not reliant on treatment.
Just a clear plan, a stronger body, and the confidence to trust it again.
