What we do

Sports Rehabilitation Services

Expert Sports Injury Treatment & Rehabilitation

If you’re dealing with an injury, it can feel frustrating, limiting, and hard to know what to do next. Many people will search for ‘Physio Wigan’ as they believe they need ‘physio’ or ‘physiotherapy’ when a better solution is in fact ‘rehabilitation’.

Rehabilitation is about helping you get out of pain, move with confidence again, and return to the things that matter to you. Whether that’s training, playing sports, sitting comfortably at work, or being able to enjoy time with your children or grandchildren without pain.

At AG Injury Rehabilitation, we take the time to understand you and your injury properly. Through a detailed movement assessment, hands-on treatment, and a personalised rehabilitation plan, you’ll have a clear path forward built around your goals, your lifestyle, and your recovery.

Physio

Sports physio and injury rehabilitation for runners, rugby players, cyclists, CrossFit athletes, and triathletes. We treat ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, patellofemoral syndrome, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, MCL sprains, shin splints, and stress fractures.

Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist treatment combines biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, sports massage, dry needling, shockwave therapy, and structured return-to-sport programming. Whether you're searching for a physio or specialist rehab, you're in the right place. Same-week appointments available.

Sports Injury Treatment

Focused hands-on treatment designed to relieve pain, restore movement, and support your recovery.

Graded Load Exposure Rehabilitation

Recovery isn’t rushed it’s built. Through a structured, progressive approach, you’ll develop the strength and control your body needs to handle load again, reducing pain and restoring confidence in your movement.

Movement Assessment & Strength Testing

Using advanced strength testing technology alongside your movement assessment, we gather clear data on how your body is performing. This allows us to pinpoint limitations and guide your rehab with confidence not guesswork.

Return to Sport Rehabilitation

Getting you back to sport isn’t just about feeling better it’s about being ready. You’ll follow a structured plan that builds you back up step by step, with clear markers along the way so you know when you’re ready to train, perform, and compete with confidence.

Pain Management

Pain isn’t always as straightforward as it seems, but there is always a reason behind it. At AG Injury Rehabilitation, you’ll get clear answers, not confusion. By understanding your situation as a whole and guiding you with the right treatment and advice, we help you regain control, reduce pain, and move forward with confidence.

Strength & Conditioning

Progression doesn’t stop when the pain goes. This stage is about developing the strength and resilience your body needs to handle training, sport, and everyday demands reducing the risk of setbacks and helping you perform at your best, week by week.

We’ll also make sure you leave with a clear plan, so you can continue progressing even after discharge.

About Your Therapist

Amy Garratt – BSc Sports Rehabilitator

Amy helps people get out of pain and back to doing what matters to them, whether that’s training in the gym, playing sport, or simply moving with confidence again.

With 15 years experience, she works with a wide range of people, from everyday gym-goers and runners to competitive athletes.

Her approach is simple. Every session is built around answering the four key questions most people have when they’re in pain:

  • What is the problem ?
  • Why has this happened?
  • What is the plan ?
  • And how long will it take?

From there, you’ll leave with a clear, structured plan, so you’re never left guessing what to do next.

Amy provides one-to-one treatment and tailored rehabilitation to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to the things you enjoy with confidence.
